Mission statement
The Royal Military Academy is a military institution of university education charged with the academic, military and physical basic education of future officers, and the continuing education of officers during their careers in Defence.
We aim to
- form officers capable of leading in service to the national and international community in varied, complex, high-technology and exceptional circumstances;
- form staff officers and leaders who help build the future of Defence and society;
- permanently adapt our training to the needs of Defence;
- integrate society's values into Defence and radiate Defence's values to society.
We do this through
- developing the officer's total personality through multidisciplinary and integrated training;
- an adapted organisation and modern didactics;
- close cooperation with other organisms inside and outside Defence;
- scientific research with a special focus on Defence and security;
- great openness and making training, resources and expertise available to Defence and to the national and international community.
We believe
- in values such as honour, self-discipline, commitment, courage and respect;
- in the importance of the university level of our training;
- in the importance of our officers' sense of initiative and responsibility, of their loyalty, solidarity and integrity.
Our motto
Rege duce pro jure et honore
"Led by the monarch for justice and honour"
The motto of our school reminds everyone of the ultimate goal of its formation: to work in the service of the country and the King by living up to honour and justice.
